Montreat Conference Center is one of three national conference centers affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA. The conference center offers a year-round schedule with over 35 conferences and retreats for all ages and interests, and attracts over 30,000 participants annually. For over 100 years, groups and individuals have come to Montreat to be inspired by its programs and to be physically and spiritually renewed in its mountain setting.

Christmount is the conference center for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located about 1.5 miles south of Black Mountain on NC Highway 9. Since 1948, Christmount has been a place for church retreats, family reunions, youth camps, and personal spiritual renewal. With over 600 acres, Christmount has motel-type lodging, winterized youth retreat facility, RV Park , tent camping area, swimming pools, children’s playground, and hiking trails. Christmount also sponsors a summer youth camping program and its own conferences for adults.

Cragmont came into being n 1945 when this 118 acre site was purchased by what were then the four “Conventions” of Original Free Will Baptists (The State Convention, League Convention and Sunday School Convention). Since that time Cragmont has grown from a few weeks of summer camping into a year-round camping, conference and retreat center. Annually serving over 2,000 campers, families and church groups; all who ascend the mountain testify to a special presence of the Holy Spirit that touches each individual heart.
